Elizabeth Saltzman is a film editor, storyteller, and recent graduate of the American Film Institute, currently working as a Post Production Assistant for Lucasfilm.
She received her BA in Cinema Studies from Oberlin College in 2013, during which time she spent a summer term at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, cutting on a Steinbeck, and a winter term at Prague Film School. She received her MFA in Film Editing from the AFI Conservatory in 2017, cutting six short narrative films and two thesis films.
Elizabeth has held numerous internships at several production companies and worked as an Executive Assistant. She then became the Development and Marketing Associate for River City Brass, a professional brass band in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, for whom she produced and edited commercial spots and promotional videos. After moving back to Los Angeles for her Master’s, she spent a summer working as an Assistant Editor at a trailer house and was a Post Production Assistant on the Amblin feature The Turning.
Elizabeth has most recently worked as a Post Production Assistant on Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker and was an Assistant Editor on the behind the scenes documentary of the film. She is also a regular editor for Look What SHE Did!, a collection of videos spotlighting women talking about other inspirational women throughout history. She also continues cutting short films in her spare time. Elizabeth is an avid tennis player and moviegoer, and currently resides in Los Angeles, California.
